民謠說唱

民謠旋律簡單，節奏鮮明且富於民族色彩。民謠內容包括歷史、愛情、神話等。此外，民謠也能體現不同地域的文化，具有鮮明的民族特點。歌曲樸素自然，通俗易學。通過學習民謠，不僅可以讓小朋友學會演唱優美動聽的歌曲，而且也可以學習到中國的民族文化。年齡要求：六至十歲。

Fun with Chinese Folk Music

Chinese folk music has simple melodies, clear rhythms, and full of rich cultures. The broad contents of Chinese folk music includes history, romance, legends, etc. It also reflects the vivid culture of different regions. Chinese folk music is simple and natural so that it is easy to learn. Through learning Chinese folk music, the student will learn singing the beautiful songs, and the rich Chinese cultures and history as well.  Age Requirement: 6-10 years old.

• 如果你在五月十五日至六月十五日期间注册，每位学生将得到十五元优惠，全年学费为四百一十五元。
• 从六月十六日开始，全年学费为四百三十元。

Registration Announcement for School Year 2014 – 2015

 Thousand Oaks Chinese School online registration for year 2014-2015 will be available on 5/15/2014.  The first day of the next school year will be 8/23/2014.

• If you already have an account, please go to https://www.to-cs.org/chineseschool/signin to start registration.  If you are not sure about your account, please try to find out by clicking “Forgot username? Try to find username here”, “Forgot password? Request password reset here” or contact engineering@to-cs.org.
• If you registered your child(ren) at TOCS previously, and have not created an account yet, please contact engineering@to-cs.org with your information to obtain invitation to link to your existing data.
• If you are completely new to TOCS, please go to https://www.to-cs.org/chineseschool/signin, click “New to Thousand Oaks Chinese School? Register here” to create your new account, follow the instructions to input family and student information, and start your registration.
• IMPORTANT: DO NOT create multiple accounts — you may mess up your existingdata.  KEEP your family and student information updated.   
• You will receive $15 tuition discount if you register during pre-registration period: 5/15/2014 – 6/15/2014, tuition fee: $415.00
• Regular registration starts from 6/16/2014, tuition fee: $430.00
• Classroom is not assigned until the day before the school starts on 8/23/2014.

Academic Merit  Award

In order to give recognition for academic excellence, CCCA is offering several $300-$500 scholarships to college-bound seniors of local high schools with the following qualifications

• GPA of 3.5 or above in high school
• Has attended Thousand Oaks Chinese School for at least 5 years.
• Has completed at least 8^th grade in  Thousand Oaks Chinese School
• Applied for admission at a 2 or 4 year college or university

All application forms must be accompanied with an essay, in either Chinese or English, about their experience in Chinese School.

The Merit scholarships will be presented at Awards Night to selected candidates.

Application deadline is May 1, 2014.  Mail the application or email the form and essay to:

Community Service Award

As part of its goals and objectives, CCCA is offering $200 scholarships as a token of recognition to deserving high school seniors, attending Thousand Oaks High School, who have served their community.
