在這裡，我想跟大家報告一下3/25中文學校第十三屆運動會的情況。本屆運動會是第一次以親子趣味為主題，比賽項目以遊戲方式為主，總的來說還是挺成功的，孩子們都玩的很開心。在此非常感謝所有師生的參與，也要特別感謝協助學校活動的班媽、志願者家長、TA的大力支持，更要感謝我們的工作人員的辛苦付出！

我們已總結今年工作的一些不足，爭取把明年的運動會辦得更好！在此也要強調一下，學校的活動離不開所有師生家長的參與，希望明年有更多的家長和義工參與運動會的組織工作。附上本屆運動會的花絮與大家分享那一天的樂趣！謝謝！

Dear All,

Warm reminder, 4/8 & 4/15 Spring Break, No School!

I would like to provide an update on the 13th TOCS FamilyFun Track&Field event. This is the first time that the theme is focusing on parent-child fun.  Overall, the event was very successful and the children had a good time. I would like to thank all the teachers and students for their participation, and thank the Room Parents, Game Helpers, Volunteers, and TAs who assisted this Track&Field event for their strong support. Many thanks to our staff for their hard work to organize this event!

We have summed up some lesson-learns from this year’s event, and strive to make next year’s event even better! I would also like to emphasize here that school activities are inseparable from the participation of all teachers, students and parents. I hope that more parents and volunteers will participate in the organization of the Track&Field event next year. Attached are the tidbits of this year’s event to share with you the fun of that day!

各位老師和Room Parents，

本週六(3/25)千橡中文學校將舉辦第十三屆運動會，對於當天需要的注意事項，我在這裡強調一下：

1.     請各位Room Parent在9:30am的時候來辦公室領取小朋友們的運動會T恤和班級海報。運動會T恤入場的時候要穿，每個小朋友都有，根據之前你們上報的尺寸數量領取（若衣服尺寸需要更換的，請儘快到辦公室更換）；

2.     第二節課下課之後，各班老師和學生都將參加運動會入場，並公佈海報優勝名單。學校工作人員會給各班拍集體照，會放到yearbook，請大家穿好學校發的運動會T恤，並帶上各班的海報入場。入場儀式結束後，不參加運動會的同學可以由家長領走（請確定和學生交待清楚接送的地點和時間，~12:20pm）其他同學請到指定的班級位置就座，等待參加比賽專案（鼓勵老師在運動會期間跟學生在一起，但如果有事，入場儀式後也可以先行離開）；

3.     各班的午餐及水/飲料由Room Parent組織自行準備，請統計好參加運動會的人數（包括家長、老師、TA等）。之後請拿receipt去跟PVA報銷部分餐費，報銷的具體細則請看附件1；

4.     運動會項目的具體時間請看附件2，請大家到時候提醒一下參加遊戲項目的同學。這裡說明一下，當天的遊戲項目，小朋友只要想參加都可以去場地排隊參加（即使之前沒有報名也可以參加）；

5.     運動會當天建議各班準備一個Canopy遮太陽，請各班在運動會結束之後清理一下場地；

6.     請各位Room Parent及家長看好各班的小孩，確保每個人的安全！

7.     由於是全新的親子運動項目，運動會當天有任何問題，歡迎到Question Stand 詢問。同時請大家配合現場工作人員的工作，聽從工作人員的安排調度。謝謝！

Dear Teachers and Room Parents,

This Saturday (3/25) Thousand Oaks Chinese School will hold the 13th FamilyFun Track&Field event. I would like to remind everyone the following key points:

1. Room Parents, please come to the office at 9:30am to pick up the children’s T-shirts and class posters. Every child has a T-shirt and needs to wear it at opening ceremony.  If the size of the T-shirt needs to be changed, please go to the office to change it as soon as possible);

2. After the second class is over, teachers and students of each class will attend the opening ceremony. The school staff will take a group photo of each class and put it in the yearbook. Please wear the T-shirts and bring the poster of each class to the field. After the opening ceremony, students who do not participate in the games can be picked up by their parents (please make sure that the parents know the pick-up location and time, ~12:20pm). Other students, please sit in the designated class position;

3. Room Parent will need to prepare lunch and water/drinks of each class for people participating in this event (including parents, teachers, TA, etc.). Afterwards, please take the receipt to reimburse part of the meal expenses with PVA. For the detailed rules of reimbursement, please refer to Attachment 1;

4. Please refer to Attachment 2 for the schedule of the games. Please remind the students who will participate in the games when the time comes. All children who want to participate can join the games, even if they have not registered before;

5. It is recommended that each class prepares a Canopy for the students. Please clean up the field after the event;

6. Safety is No. 1! Room Parents and parents, please take care of the children in each class and ensure everyone’s safety!

7. Since this year’s Track&Field games are new for everyone, please go to the Question Stand if there are any questions. At the same time, please follow the arrangements of the staff in the field. Thank you for your cooperation!
